ACT's Asset Building department (formerly known as the CT Association for Human Services) works to engage, equip and empower all people in Connecticut to build a secure future. We envision a Connecticut where all children and families thrive, regardless of income, and contribute to and share in the state’s growth. A Connecticut where low-income residents work with business and community partners in developing policies and programs that ensure Connecticut’s prosperity, as well as their own.
We work to reduce poverty and build family economic success through the following programs.
The Returning Citizens program assists soon to be released individuals with financial issues.
Free tax preparation services for low-to-moderate-income individuals and families.
In order to provide fiscal transparency we have posted the 2023 Form 990 for Connecticut Association for Human Services (CAHS). For more information, including annual reports and financial statements, please visit ACT's Resources page.
